A heating system involves a closed circulation cycle of a heat transfer fluid, so it's important to consider that the fluid expands when heated. In such cases, the system should have an expansion tank with a volume of 5% of the total fluid quantity.
Every heat supply project is highly individual, with its own specific details and nuances. While it's possible to copy system designs from the internet or even from a neighbour, it will still need to be finalised based on the specifics of your own premises.
It is advisable to entrust both the installation and maintenance of a heating system to specialists. Incorrect installation can lead to an accident involving a burst of thermal energy – scalding hot water. Even if a heating system starts successfully after self-installation, there remains a risk of system malfunction for some time. Moreover, every heating system should be efficient and economical, which is unlikely with self-installation.
The maintenance and inspection of the heat supply system are also carried out by the property owner. For normal and long-term operation of the heating system, it needs to be inspected twice a year.
